Position Overview

The Engineering department will be growing substantially in the coming year. Currently, the department consists of about 60 engineers working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment within system software and embedded systems, as well as windows applications and web services.

Kollmorgen is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Engineering Management Team and shape the future of our company during a transformative time. You will play a pivotal role in adapting and aligning our engineering processer to our evolving organizational goals.

As an Engineering manager, you will be a part of Kollmorgen’s Engineering Manager Team, consisting of four other Engineering Managers. You will lead product teams working with software system development, user experience, system architecture following the agile principles of SAFe/Scrum.

In your role, you'll lead a team of about 15 individuals. Your overall responsibility will be to guide, coach and empower a team of talented engineers. This includes fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous improvements and personal growth. It also includes management assignment such as setting expectations, working with performance evaluations and salary reviews. An important task will be to manage change and make sure our engineering team manages change effectively as the organization is growing.

To achieve the mission and success of this position, we believe you have: 

• Educational background in engineering;
  
• A track record of managing and developing high-performing engineering teams in software development;
• Thorough understanding of the system development process.;
• Several years of proven experience in engineering management, preferably in a tech environment undergoing change;
• Professional level of English;
• The ability to work effectively with diverse teams;
• A commitment for personal and team growth;
• Open and honest communication;
• Willingness to stand up for what is right, even in the face of adversity;
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills;
• The ability to demonstrate enthusiasm and drive to achieve top performance.

We find it beneficial if you have:

• Previously acted as a change leader;
• Previous experience from leading outsourced teams ;
• Experience in Scrum/SAFe environment;
• Advanced level of Swedish.
