We are looking for a Senior User Experience (UX) designer to be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a difference in the world of AGVs and AMRs.

Position Overview

As a Senior UX Designer at Kollmorgen, you will be a part of a Scrum team and at the same time, a part of the UX community. 

Your mission will be to create a seamless customer journey where our partners and customers easily succeed in integrating automation into their businesses. Kollmorgen aims to elevate the user experience to the next level, and you will be a key player in that journey.

What does success look like in this position:

• Design decisions focusing on user needs: Design decisions related to new and existing functions are made in a way that ensures that design solutions target desired impact goals and reflect user requirements. Product design processes are shaped with focus on the user;
• Successful implementation of UX strategies: The UX strategies defined by UX lead and UX community are successfully implemented into products, in close cooperation with the development team;
• Continuously improvement of the user experience: Hypothesis driven approach is being used to create, test and validate MVPs for product you are involved with. Assumptions to drive user-centered design decisions are being formulated and tested to continuously iterate and improve the user experience;
• Effective stakeholder management: Multiple ideas from stakeholders are integrated into a cohesive solution across multiple products using UX processes and toolkit;
• Transfer of UX knowledge: Knowledge about UX-related issues such as user interfaces, user journeys and user stories are being transferred to the development team and the UX community nurturing development within the field.

To achieve the mission and success of this position, we believe you already have:

• An academic degree in Product Design, Interaction Design or similar;
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with UX design in companies developing complex software products;
• Solid knowledge in how to develop UX design for complex B2B products;
• Robust experience from working with UX processes such as user research, usability testing and concept development. Previous experience of working in Figma;
• Previous experience from working directly with developers and product owner to ensure successful implementation of the design;
• The ability to work effectively with diverse team;
• An innovative way of generating ideas and solutions;
• Open and honest communication skills;
• A willingness to stand up for what is right, even in times of adversity, to effectively drive design thinking within a development organization;

We find it beneficial if you have:

• Previous experience from working with information architecture, interaction design and responsive design.
