We are looking for a Software Engineer for this summer to be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a difference in the world of AGVs and AMRs.

Position Overview

As a Software Engineer, you will be part of our Engineering department, along with over 70 engineers working within embedded systems, system software, as well as Windows applications and web services.

In this position, you will be a key player in our Tools Team, which consists of over 10 developers specializing in various areas. They are responsible for developing and maintaining several tools that our partners use to design and analyze warehouse areas where AGVs operate. Our team supports the software that our partners rely on daily within the AGV system.

Your role entails working with a C++ and CLR-based codebase, integrating additional functionality aimed at enhancing diagnostic and debugging capabilities within the software. This codebase primarily acts as a design tool in our system, continuously evolving to match changing user needs and industry standards. You will collaborate within a scrum workflow alongside experienced developers.

What does success look like in this position:

• High Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets project requirements and passes all code reviews;
• Comprehensive Documentation: Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation for all projects, facilitating smooth onboarding and knowledge transfer;
• Proactive Bug Fixes: Identify and fix bugs promptly to maintain software reliability and performance;
• Effective Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with project managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet user needs;
• Timely Project Delivery: Consistently meet project deadlines, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on schedule.

To achieve the mission and success of this position, we believe you already have:

• You are studying for a BSc (year 2) or MSc (year 3 or 4) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field;
• Experience in C++ application development;
• Experience working within an Agile team environment;
• Good communication in English and collaboration abilities.

We find it beneficial if you have:

• Experience with version control systems (Git) for code management, branching and merging;
• Experience working with issue tracking and project management tools (Jira);
  
• Familiarity with software testing principles and methodologies.
