We are looking for a Product owner to be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a difference in the world of AGVs and AMRs.

Position Overview

As a Product Owner at Kollmorgen, you will be working in our recently formed Operations & Visualization team. We develop a real-time SW to visualize the system and vehicle performance and notify customers when support is needed. As Product Owner in this team, there will be close collaboration with customers to understand what needs they have and what features need the highest priority.

Over time, the plan is that you will also be Product Owner for another team working with desktop applications needed to design and set-up systems of Autonomous Mobile Solutions and Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV) at, for example, factories and warehouses.  

Your mission as Product Owner in a team will be to maximize the value of the product resulting from the team's work. This involves ensuring that product development aligns with the company's overall strategy and vision. By creating, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog, you make sure it reflects the needs and priorities of stakeholders. This requires deep technical understanding, and previous experience of developing or managing web and cloud applications. You support the team by removing obstacles that might impede progress and help them stay focused on delivering value.

As a Product Owner, you belong to our Product management team and you will be reporting to our Director of Product management.

What does success look like in this position:

• Backlog management: Break down epics into features, prioritize them, and maintain the team’s backlog.
• Balancing Development: Balance new feature development with software architectural work for sustainable quality and research in emerging technology areas.
  
• Focus on product value: Concentrate on product value with input from customers while the team handles technical details.
• Strategy alignment: Align tasks with company strategy and the vision for the entire product portfolio.
• Transparency: Make your work visible and transparent to the rest of the company. Communicate efficiently cross-functionally.

To achieve the mission and success of this position, we believe you already have:

• An academic degree in Software engineering, IT management or similar  
• 3+ experience as Product Owner for software products
• Experience of working in the SAFe framework
• Experience of developing or managing web and cloud applications
• Experience of managing customer interaction
• Excellent communication skills and passionate about stakeholder management

• Experience of working as Product Owner in multiple teams   
• Experience of data visualization, dash boards or similar
• Experience of one of the big cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
