We are looking for an experienced and driven UX designer to be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a difference in the world of AGVs and AMRs.

Position Overview

As a UX Designer at Kollmorgen, you play an important role in our recently formed Visualization & Operation team and at the same time, be a part of the UX community. The UX community at Kollmorgen currently consists of 4 designers, and the team is growing. The Visualization & Operation team develop a real-time SW to visualize the system and vehicle performance and notify customers when support is needed.

Your mission in the team will be to structure the UX work to create a high-value product and a seamless customer journey where our partners and customers easily succeed in integrating automation into their businesses. Kollmorgen as a company aim to elevate the user experience to the next level, and you will be a key player in that process.

What does success look like in this position:

• Information Structuring: Ability to organise large volumes of information in a clear and understandable way and share the insights with team members and stakeholders to ensures everyone is aligned and informed.
• Effective Research: You enjoy conducting thorough research, from identifying problems and planning methodologies to execute observations and interviews. You drive project decisions by delivering insightful analysis of collected data.
• Usability Testing: Ability to manage various types of usability tests, ensuring that products meet user needs and expectations.
• Data Visualization: Visualisation of different types of data in a way that is informative and helps to communicate complex information clearly.
• Mastery of Figma: You are proficient in using Figma to create intuitive and visually appealing designs that meet project requirements.

To achieve the mission and success of this position, we believe you already have:

• An academic degree in Product Design, Interaction Design or similar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with UX design in companies developing software products, preferably in a B2B context.
• Previous experience from working directly with developers and product owner to ensure successful implementation of the design.
• Previous experience of working in Figma.
• Ability to structure information that relates to UX, educate, challenge and bring forward own ideas to arrive at the best design process and design solutions.
• Experience from working with the entire design process and the ability to move flexible between different parts of the design spectrum such as research, prototyping etc depending on what the project requires.
• Excellent communication skills and courage to pose questions that leads to a deeper understanding of the problem that should be solved.
