Caleb, Lisa & Lennart have one thing in common - they all have changed role at least once within our company
It is one thing to change jobs to get better development opportunities. But at Kollmorgen, we want our people to stay for a long time – and develop in the direction and speed they feel comfortable with and prefer. One thing Caleb Rangel, Lisa Sundberg, and Lennart Fraiman have in common are that they all have changed roles while being part of our blue family.
Lennart, who has been with us for over ten years, has seen it all. From starting as an application engineer and traveling the world to supporting our partners by joining our customer service team. On one hand the daily contact with clients. But on the other hand, he also valued less travelling because two became three -in other words, he had just started a family.
After a while, he stepped in as acting Product Owner in our product management team. He led the development and fell in love, again, working more hands-on with products. After his period as acting Product Owner, he became the Product Owner for our team that handles design tools and supporting tools for our platform. It was a fun way of closing the circle since Lennart had worked with the tools before – and now he is the one developing them.
“It was an internal recruitment, and I showed my interest since it aligned with my career development. I was quite lucky since I had substituted in that group and took some Scrum and Product Owner courses. I felt that I had the right profile for the role, and Kollmorgen did too.”
Lisa started her journey with us in 2020 as a Product Owner. She went on maternity leave in 2021 and then came back to a new role as Product Manager. The most significant difference was that she started as a Product Owner for stationary software and now is a Product Manager for embedded software and hardware. In her new role, she plans for the long run – both strategically and operationally. Lisa started her career as a developer and UX designer. But her strength in being able to talk in different departments’ languages made her feel that Product Owner – and later on Product Manager – was the right role for her.
”I have worked a lot with strategies before, and my boss knew I enjoyed working in that way. He was the one calling when the role got published internally at Kollmorgen. I was cheered on to apply. It increased my confidence to do it, and here I am.”
In 2015, Caleb started as a material controller consultant. He worked a lot with transport, logistics, import, export, and customs clearance. He collaborated with the material manager and helped build our warehouse in the Czech Republic. When his consultant mission was done, he moved to Florida and came back to Kollmorgen after a couple of months. He then joined the customer service team, where he worked together with Lennart.
Last year, he found out that a position opened up as a material manager, and he decided to apply. Now, Caleb is the one who runs our warehouse in Sweden. With more responsibility and regular meetings with suppliers, he is the one who identifies what components we need to order and where the risks are.
“I enjoy it here at Kollmorgen, and I cannot think of working somewhere else. There is a lot of trust and flexibility and a positive atmosphere. You can be who you are here, and I value that a lot.”
It is not only Caleb who likes the culture here at Kollmorgen. Both Lisa and Lennart agrees that the people here are genuine, warm, and professional. You get to work with highly skilled people who all care for you. And to stay in this kind of setting while also getting the opportunity to develop – is truly the icing on the cake.
