Customers are the very reason businesses exist!
That’s why we need to see how they interact with our products and services – take notice of behaviors and study their context. By practicing UX Design, you will have to work from an outside-in perspective. Someone who has also worked herself from the outside and into our organization is our new UX Lead: Cecilia Boström.
“I started in the middle of the pandemic last year. Since then, I’ve been jumping around to join different team meetings to get to know my new colleagues.”
With a diploma in Informatics and Information Technology from Gothenburg University and an Interaction Design Masters from Chalmers, Cecilia has always been interested in IT – especially design psychology.
“It’s super cool to find a spot where everything blends – how design psychology, business, and the technology simply connect. I also think that’s why I love working here. Kollmorgen is hungry to learn, and it’s more fun to work with that kind of energy than arguing for several months about whether a button should be green or not.”
Cecilia has not only opened our eyes to the importance of user experience design, but she has also written an article where she has poured all of her knowledge and expertise.
“It was a way for me to get straight with my own thoughts about UX, because everyone has different opinions about this topic. So, I think this article I wrote frames everything UX is and stands for. I think if you want to learn something new – go for it. I now work in an industry that is fairly new to me and ended up in the best place I could be so far in my career.”
