Global Sales Week
With various backgrounds and a wide range of competencies in sales, marketing, customer service, and business development, our commercial team truly represents a diverse group of individuals – and it's within their differences that they find their greatest strengths. Among the 19 team members are Karin Green, Marketing Coordinator, and Madlen Mårdsjö, Global Marketing Manager, both based in our Gothenburg office.
"Since joining Kollmorgen, I have personally experienced a sense of the world shrinking as we actively integrate with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds in our daily work. Collaborating across borders and getting to know people from other cultures has truly contributed to my personal development," says Madlen.
While digital tools play a vital role in connecting colleagues across the globe, there is an undeniable significance in meeting face-to-face – and this is precisely the purpose of our annual Global Sales Week. Just a few weeks ago, we brought together all of the team members from China, Korea, the USA, and Italy at our headquarters in Gothenburg for a five-day event filled with collaboration, meaningful connections, and, of course, plenty of enjoyable moments spent bonding and having fun as a team.
"It was a wonderful opportunity to connect in person and strengthen our bonds. Throughout those five days, we collaborated, learned from one another, and enjoyed shared lunches and engaging afternoon activities. Exploring the Gothenburg archipelago, island hopping on a speedboat, was a particularly memorable experience," says Karin.
As both Madlen and Karin describe, the culture at Kollmorgen thrives on the principle of "Fail fast," which means that everyone is encouraged to pursue their ideas and try new things while being supported by a safe and trusting environment. They agree that the team's inclusive culture and openness to share thoughts and perspectives are its greatest strengths.
"I appreciate our trusting culture and the encouragement to explore new avenues. Each person's expertise is highly valued, and if you willingly take on responsibility, you are empowered to experiment and bring your ideas to life," shares Karin. As we say goodbye to the incredible experience we had in Gothenburg, we eagerly anticipate the upcoming Global Sales Week. This event serves as a reminder of the inspiring journey we embarked upon, where we nurtured our relationships and propelled ourselves towards future success.
