For over a year now, Mathias has brought a bunch of different perspectives to the table as our Senior Software Developer. One of the things he enjoys most is working with the user-experience aspect of the two products we develop in the Tools team.

“I like answering questions like ‘Can we do this differently?’ and gathering information to think in a new, fresh way. To find a solution which works for the bigger picture.”

Mathias and the Tools team are developing web applications easy for anyone to use – smoothly applied into everyday life. One of the products they work with visualizes how the Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) drive in real-time, and the other product helps our users to install new AGV systems. According to Mathias, it’s a cool thing to work close to our partners and develop a product at an early stage.

”I like being able to think, to be a visionary, and give my input for the trial-and-error part of our work. We build our product together and choose the code language as well as the setup. It’s what sets us apart – we are kind of a start-up in the middle of an established company. You’ve got the best of both worlds here at Kollmorgen.”

To work for a genuine and secure company in uncertain times was one of many factors why he said yes to us. A yes which we hope will last for a long time.

“What I love the most about working at Kollmorgen is that every day is changeable. Since we develop new products, we plan in 2-week intervals, which makes it easier to act on the different user tests we have going on.”
