Drawn by cutting-edge technology and the challenge of working with automated guided vehicles, Aakash Sahani recently joined us at Kollmorgen. All the way from Nepal and with a rich background in cybersecurity, e-commerce, and compliance, he found his new role to be an exciting opportunity to leverage his expertise in a fresh and dynamic context. 

"I was intrigued by the exciting technology and the completely new industry. As an engineer, I was eager to take on that challenge. I also felt that my previous experiences could contribute to product development, which motivated me to apply for the job," shares Aakash.  

Today, Aakash has been part of Kollmorgen for just over two months. Moving to an entirely new country where he initially didn't know anyone, he was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome from his new team at Kollmorgen.  

"I was welcomed with flowers even before I joined. A few weeks after I signed the contract, they sent me a beautiful bouquet, which I didn't expect. I was quite surprised because I didn't know anyone in Sweden, and suddenly, flowers arrived at my apartment. The people here are incredibly nice and continuously help me with the culture, work, and everything. I'm loving it here." 

The comprehensive onboarding process also included setting up all necessary tools and assigning a dedicated "dream team member" to guide Aakash through the initial stages. 

"It was a well-planned onboarding. Everything from laptop, accessories and the onboarding document, which included a map of the office and the meeting rooms, was taken care of. They also introduced a 'dream team member' who could help me navigate the company and teach me about our product."
